All South Carolina residents, college students and military personnel who have lived in the state of South Carolina for at least 30 days prior to the day of competition and meet the specific requirements for their sport of interest may compete. South Carolina residents attending college or serving in the military in another state are also eligible to compete. Due to the fact that Georgia is not offering Ultimate at the Georgia State Games, Georgia teams and athletes are eligible for State Games South Carolina competition.

In the case of inclement weather, every effort will be made to complete the tournament in its entirety. Fees are non-refundable if the tournament is canceled, shortened, or otherwise modified in any way due to inclement weather.
Mixed (coed) – Every point must be played with either 4 male and 3 female or 4 female and 3 male players. The team that is on offense (receiving the pull) each point decides whether that point will be played 4M/3F or 4F/3M.
Pool play and placement brackets – exact format will depend on number of teams.
Rules & Regulations:
A roster must have at least 7 male and 7 female players. The maximum overall roster size for this tournament is 21 players per team. Games will be played according to USAU Ultimate 11th Edition (or 12th Edition if it is released prior to the event).
Athlete Waiver Form:
Each athlete must sign the State Games South Carolina Waiver prior to the start of play. Waivers may be signed at tournament check on first day of competition. Parent/Guardian signatures will be required for players under the age of 18. A link to the waiver will be sent to the team captain for distribution a few days prior to the tournament.
Teams will check in at Pittman Park on the first day of competition. Waivers will be signed or turned in at this time. There will be an additional late fee paid by teams that do not pre-register. Online pre-registration prior to April 30, 2017 is strongly encouraged. You will be permitted to substitute players on your roster up until the start of competition.
Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams respectively in each division. Only players listed on the official roster will receive medals. Medal winners are eligible to represent South Carolina at the State Games of America (https://stategamesofamerica.com/) in the future. 50% of the medal winning team roster will be required at the National Championships.
