Learn how to control your bike and ride safer, better and faster than you ever have before. Steve Baker and Samantha Smith (Certified NICA and USA Cycling Coaches) have over 30 years of bicycle riding and racing experience, and they are passionate about sharing their knowledge with others. They have developed a proven curriculum that helps riders on every level ride better on any bicycle.
During this extensive skills and drills clinic, you will gain confidence and learn the fundamental skills that are used by every top-level cyclist and triathlete. We will try to push the envelope and get you outside your comfort zone in a very controlled manner that helps minimize fear while maximizing fun. This class helps everyone with their riding skills regardless of their ability level. The drills are scalable based on ability and they help everyone. I promise you will be a better and more confident bike rider and triathlete following this extensive skills clinic session, and we will have a little fun in the process. Riders should come prepared for a normal ride with bicycles, helmets, shoes and water bottles. Road, hybrid and triathlon bikes welcome. Some riders are more confident wearing running shoes for the drills instead of their cycling shoes with cleats, so we recommend you bring both.
We’re limiting this day to 40 people so we can maximize personal instruction and facilitate effective learning. Please dress for the weather, as we’ll be outside for this clinic.
You MUST register online to participate.
Road, hybrid and triathlon bikes are welcome, but some riders are more comfortable on their road bike for the drills. We will be using a grass field for most of the drills to minimize risk to body and bike. Some riders prefer to use their training wheels for the clinic. We will not ask you to do anything you don’t want to do, but we will ask you to challenge yourself.
Questions should be directed to Steve Baker at firstname.lastname@example.org or Samantha Smith at email@example.com
